REUSE, CREATE, MAKE MUSIC
Creativity starts with possibility.
Creative Rhythm Lab is an immersive music and arts experience that invites students to build, explore, collaborate, and perform.
What begins with an ordinary recycled barrel becomes much more than an instrument. Students transform materials with their own hands, discover different sounds, develop rhythms together, design the visual identity of their group, and ultimately bring everything to life in a live performance.
Along the way, they are learning far more than music.
They are learning to listen, communicate, solve problems, take creative risks, support one another, and believe in what they can create together.
From recycled materials to a shared stage.
Creative Rhythm Lab brings together music, visual art, movement, performance, sustainability, and technology in one connected experience.
REUSE. CREATE. MAKE MUSIC.
One team. One heart. One beat.

Creative Rhythm Lab is a hands-on arts and music experience where students create a performance from the ground up. They build and customize instruments using recycled materials, explore rhythm and ensemble playing, create visual elements and costumes, incorporate movement and performance, and work together toward a final live presentation.
It is more than a drumming class — it is a creative laboratory where music, art, design, teamwork, and performance come together.
Creative Rhythm Lab can be adapted for different age groups and school communities. Activities, instruments, creative challenges, and performance expectations are adjusted according to the age and experience of the students.
Not at all.
Creative Rhythm Lab is designed so that students with different abilities and backgrounds can participate together. Some may naturally connect with rhythm, while others may be drawn to art, movement, design, building, theater, or production.
Every student has an opportunity to contribute to the ensemble.
The complete Creative Rhythm Lab experience is typically offered as a 10- to 12-week program, with one session per week.
Programs can also be adapted into shorter residencies, workshops, special events, summer programs, or customized school experiences.
A typical session is approximately 90 minutes, giving students enough time to combine hands-on creative work with musical activities, rehearsals, and group collaboration.
Session length can be adjusted depending on the school's schedule and program format.
Students experience the entire creative process.
They may:
The goal is for students to feel that the finished performance is truly something they created together.
Yes. Instrument building is an important part of the Creative Rhythm Lab experience.
Students transform everyday and recycled materials — such as buckets, barrels, containers, cans, and other safe objects — into playable instruments.
They also explore how the size, shape, and material of an object affect its sound.
Students are not simply learning a collection of songs or rhythms.
They participate in the entire creative journey — from building instruments and designing their visual world to learning rhythm, developing movement, rehearsing, collaborating, and ultimately presenting a live performance.
Creative Rhythm Lab introduces students to the idea that a show is created by many different talents working together.
The program encourages much more than musical development.
Students practice:
Creativity • Collaboration • Confidence • Listening • Communication • Problem-solving • Coordination • Responsibility • Self-expression • Performance skills
They also experience the excitement — and responsibility — of contributing to something larger than themselves.
Yes.
Creative Rhythm Lab works especially well as an after-school enrichment program and can be structured in different ways depending on the needs of the school.
Possible formats include school-funded programs, parent-paid enrichment programs, arts residencies, special workshops, summer programs, and other customized partnerships.
Yes.
The program can be adapted for in-school arts enrichment, creative residencies, special programming, arts weeks, cultural events, or other school initiatives.
We work with each school to determine the format that best fits its schedule and objectives.
Group size can vary depending on the program format, age group, available space, and number of instructors or facilitators involved.
Creative Rhythm Lab can be designed for a single group or expanded for larger experiences.
For larger programs, students can also be divided into sections or creative teams that eventually come together as one ensemble.
In most cases, no traditional musical instruments are required.
Creative Rhythm Lab is built around the idea of creating music from accessible, recycled, and repurposed materials.
Specific material and equipment requirements are discussed with each school before the program begins.
A classroom, multipurpose room, music room, cafeteria, gymnasium, or similar open space can often work well.
Because students will sometimes be playing percussion, moving, building, and creating visual materials, a space where they can work comfortably and make some noise is ideal.
Final rehearsals or performances may require a larger area depending on the size of the group.
Whenever the program format allows, yes.
The final performance is an important part of the Creative Rhythm Lab journey.
Students have the opportunity to share what they have created with families, classmates, teachers, and the school community — combining rhythm, visual design, movement, and performance into one collective experience.
For many students, this is the moment when all the individual pieces finally become their show.
Student safety is considered throughout the creative process.
Materials, building activities, movement, equipment, and performance elements are selected according to the students' ages, environment, and school requirements.
Any specialized technical elements are introduced and managed with appropriate supervision.
Absolutely.
Every school community is different, and the program can be adapted according to age group, number of students, schedule, available space, educational goals, budget, and desired final experience.
The creative structure remains consistent while the program itself becomes unique to each group.
Program pricing depends on several factors, including the number of students, program length, number of sessions, staffing needs, materials, production requirements, and whether the experience includes a final performance.
